Facials

-Facial: A facial is a series of skin care treatments for the face including cleansing, steam, exfoliation, extractions, masks, massage, serums, and moisturizers. A facial can target many different skin concerns such as dehydration, acne, pores, scars, hyper-pigmentation, brightening, anti-aging, puffiness and more ! Facials are often revitalizing, healing and refreshing! $65

Machines often used during a facial treatment : (Included in facial service, No additional charge on top of facial cost- $65)
-The Steamer: The steamer stimulates circulation, gives moisture to the skin and softens oil/debris making it easier for extraction.
-Galvanic Current: galvanic current creates chemical desincrustation and ionic iontrophesis. This means electric energy is used to create alkaline reactions to soften the follicles for deep cleansing, as well as help penetrate water-soluble products into the skin. During the desincrustation process sebum (oil) and debris are emulsified (liquified), creating a chemical reaction that turns the sebum into soap. This soapy substance helps to dissolve oil, clogged follicles, and comedones (blackheads).
This machine is not to be used on pregnant women, people with pacemakers, heart problems, high blood pressure, braces or epilepsy.
-Vacuum: The vacuum is also known as the suction machine. The vacuum will stimulate the dermal layer and lymphatic/blood circulation. The vacuum will help reduce creases; such as laugh lines and wrinkles. The main function of the vacuum is to suction dirt and impurities from the pores. Great to be used after the galvanic current but before extractions!

-High frequency: High frequency consists of two electrodes containing gas. Neon gas and argon gas. The high frequency machine is a smooth repetitive alternating electric current that produces a heat effect and O-Zone. High frequency will help to stimulate circulation as well as using the O-Zone in a germicidal manor creating an antiseptic effect on the skin. By oxygenating the skin, cell metabolism is increased, the lesions after extractions are coagulated and aided in healing, the skin is relaxed from the warmth. The O-Zone that is created will kill bacteria in the pores. Not only is this treatment amazing for acne, high frequency is also great for treating sallow and aging skin! Also can be used in the scalp to stimulate hair growth! This machine is not to be used on pregnant women, people with pacemakers, heart problems, high blood pressure, braces or epilepsy.

-Accupointer: The accupointer is a handheld tens unit for your face! It will tighten and rejuvenate the skin and the subcutaneous layer to reduce wrinkles and sagging flesh associated with aging! When left on specific areas for a few minutes the device will exercise/tone and tighten facial muscles! Concentrating on problem spots such as under eye bags or puffiness around the eyes, forehead, smile lines and cheeks! This treatment is awesome for right before special events, girls night out on the town & every day use! This machine is not to be used on pregnant women, people with pacemakers, heart problems, high blood pressure, braces or epilepsy.
-Vibrating facial massager: Facial massage is used for lymphatic drainage. This will move fluid (congestion/water/waste) out of your tissues and lymphatic vessels where edema (water retention/bloat) is created;  into lymph nodes where bacteria, viruses and other harmful microorganisms are destroyed. It reduces swelling and pain and stimulates your immune system, increasing the circulation of white blood cells. This machine/technique is highly detoxifying ! Also works great to expedite healing after extractions. Face massage will decrease excess swelling/inflammation making the face appear bright, plump and glowey!
-Jade Roller: The jade roller is almost like a miniature paint roller—but rather than a sponge at the end of the metal handle, there's an oblong piece of pure jade. Our jade rollers has two ends: one containing a larger sized stone (intended for the forehead, cheeks, jawline, and neck) and one containing a smaller stone (for the under eyes). Much like the vibrating face massage, the jade stone will help with lymphatic drainage, and decreasing puffiness in the skin. The jade stone is also used to assist with product penetration. Many cultures see jade as a symbol of prosperity, purity, and tranquility—celebrating the stone for its ability to absorb negative energy. Often used in conjunction with essential oils!
-Ice Roller: Cold temperatures cause constriction in the skin, resulting in a shrinking effect on the appearance of pores and blood vessels, creating a smoother, more even-toned surface over time. Cold treatments can also soothe inflammation and irritation, which is perfect for those who experience sensitivity or redness in their skin. If you have a particularly irritated breakout, ice-rolling the area helps to soothe any itching and pain and smoothes the overall surface of the skin. Ice roller is wonderful when used in the beginning of a facial to wake up the skin and get it ready for treatment! It is also wonderful when used after a treatment that can leave the skin irritated or inflamed.
-Cupping: The ancient practice of cupping uses suction cups directly on skin to promote circulation and relieve muscle tension. When it comes to the face and jawline, the practice even claims to help with sinus congestion and headaches. Its beauty claims are even bigger: reducing puffiness, softening fine lines and wrinkles, stimulating collagen and helping products absorb more easily. The cups gently pull at sections of facial tissue, separating the skin from the bone as they move along the forehead, cheeks and jawline. The “fascia” is a sheet of connective tissue, primarily collagen beneath the skin, that gives skin elasticity and firmness. During cupping, fascia gets a good stretching ... while restoring fresh-skin tissues.

-Add on Services : (Facial cost + additional charge)

-Derma-planing: One of the trendiest hair-removal options today is dermaplaning, which is performed using a scalpel to manually exfoliate dead skin cells from the face. Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation method that requires the use of a sterile surgical scalpel to gently shave the top layer of the skin, the stratum corneum, dead skin layer, and vellus hair, aka peach fuzz. This treatment results in ultra-smooth, fresh, and brighter skin. By removing that dead layer and hair from the face, the skin is evened out, and it helps with cell metabolism, which helps new skin come to the surface. This treatment will allow for much deeper product penetration as well as an even, smooth make up application! ($12)

-Paraffin-  Paraffin wax used during facials moisturizes, calms and improve complexions! Paraffin wax has a high heat capacity and is able to retain that heat longer than other facial substances. The heat in paraffin wax opens the pores of your skin. This is because the heat causes you to sweat, which loosens the dirt and grime in your skin. This loosening allows for removal of stubborn black and white heads. The warmth from the paraffin wax makes the blood vessels in your face expand. This causes more circulation to the face, which is what brightens your complexion. Because paraffin wax is able to retain and transfer its heat effectively it is often used to calm stiff joints. In facial treatment, however, the wax soothes overworked facial muscles. This has been linked to wrinkle reduction and tension in the face muscles. When the wax is applied, your pores open. This allows for a very deep penetration of moisturizer. This process is especially recommended for those with oily AND very dry skin. ($12)

-Chemical Peels: All chemical peels can be booked with out being an addition to a facial. When booked alone the procedure time is 30 minutes and the cost is $50. When combined with an hour long facial the cost is $82 ($65 Facial + $17 upcharge of peel)

-Glycolic Acid
