Micro-blading
When you've tried every pencil, powder, pigment, gel, and stencil at the makeup counter and your brows are still sparse, there's microblading, a more permanent fix for thin brows that promises to change your brow life. Unlike a regular tattoo, microblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine. We make small hair-like stroke incisions with the tool and place pigment inside - as the incision heals and closes up it will mimic natural hairs in your brows. Even though it's not as deep as the regular tattoo, it's still like a tattoo because pigment is implanted under the skin. It's an extremely meticulous process that takes around two hours to complete. The first hour we’re drawing the shape in with removable pencil. During this time, the best customized shape for every client is chosen. Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort, followed by a liquid anesthetic. If you're worried that the process is painful. Unlike eyebrow extensions, which you have to be careful about maintaining, microblading is low maintenance. Your natural hair will not be removed during this process. The initial cost of the service is $275. And a touchup is needed four to six weeks later to complete the process. The touch up appointment is $80. And annual color boost will be needed every 9 to 18 months, price of a color boost is to be determined by the service provider ranging from $150-$225.
Preparation is key
There are some things you need to avoid before getting microbladed, namely, anything that will thin out your blood. If you drink a lot, take aspirin, or use retinol, stop one week before your treatment. Retinol makes your skin thin and then you bleed a little more, profuse bleeding pushes out pigment so that it doesn't stick as well. Avoid blood thinners, aspirin, anything caffeinated, and alcohol during the healing process.
