                                                                                                              Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is one of the most popular non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatments. The process helps rejuvenate the skin using many tiny needles that pierce the outermost layer, which forces the skin to produce more collagen. Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, and gives structure to your skin, bones, muscles, and all other connective tissue. Your body produces less of it as you get older, which results in fine lines and wrinkles. Collagen makes up nearly 80 percent of your skin, and it’s found in the middle layer called the dermis. It works together with another protein called elastin to strengthen the skin and help it snap back into place when stretched. Collagen production starts to slow down as you get older, and it happens sooner than you’d think. After the age of 25, we break down more collagen than we make so that’s why we start to see fine lines and wrinkles. From there, you start losing about one percent of your collagen each year. Using this treatment as collagen induction- “Stamping“ of microneedles into the skin allows for a deep and controlled penetration into the dermis. A topical anesthetic is used prior to the treatment to numb the skin to maximize comfort levels. By creating these tiny holes or wounds in the skin, the bodies own natural healing process triggers collagen production in order to repair. This treatment is combined with a vitamin C serum and hyaluronic acid to maximize brightening and hydration benefits! The result is smoother, plumper skin. Also improves texture and firmness of the skin. Reduces scars, pore size and stretch marks. Results are similar to laser resurfacing treatment but non-invasive with less downtime and redness. Typically 4 to 6 treatments are needed two weeks apart for acne and stretch marks. Or single treatments needed every three months for antiaging benefits! Great for all skin types! Will not cause hyperpigmentation. After the procedure the clients skin will be red and flushed in appearance in a similar way to moderate sunburn. The client will also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch on the area being treated. This will diminish greatly after a few hours following treatments and within the next 24 hours the skin will be completely healed. After 3 days there is barely any evidence that the procedure has taken place.  Visible results of skin rejuvenation are seen after just 6-8 weeks following procedure and continue over the following months for up to a year. A course of three  skin needling sessions, at 6-8 week intervals, is usually recommended to achieve optimum results; however great skin improvement is noticeable after just one treatment. Also can be used to stimulate hair growth in the scalp!

Three treatments are recommended every 4-6 weeks for optimal results. $125 per treatment
